There's a possibility that I'll be bringing my horse out hunting this season (if I can find someone to come with me!) But it's the first time for both of us & I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice on how to prepare, what to do on the day, how to stay on board....etc

I really want to get hunting but it's a daunting thought so any advice anyone can give will be greatly appreciated :D

Hi, Shona,

It's always good to welcome new faces.

Probably be worth coming on your feet first and just having a look around before you try to come mounted.

Also, it might be worth coming to a social event or two and getting to know one or two people so that you will recognise a couple of friendly faces when you get to the intimidating bit of your first mounted outing.

Regards,

George Bowyer
